Zechariah 13:9

And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them.  I will say, ‘They are my people’; and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ”  This verse is talking about the remnant of Jews that will be protected after the Tribulation. Two-thirds of the Jews will be destroyed but the Lord will keep one-third. Even though this section is prophesying the future of the Jews it really has spoken to me. This verse reminds me of 1 Peter 1:7 which states, “   So that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ”. The Lord has been refining me through the fire every day of my field time. He has been exhorting me, there have been times of rebuke, and he is also answering me as I call upon His name. I am being tested in this s...

For I have chosen you

Haggai 2:23 On that day, declares the Lord of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel my servant, the son of Shealtiel, declares the Lord, and make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you, declares the Lord of hosts.” Zerubbabel was given a task. He was to finish the building of the temple in Jerusalem. He was given that task by the Lord. The whole book of Haggai shows how the relationship with the Lord and Zion is so beautiful. Jerusalem is His city. It is His dwelling place. In Psalm 76:2 the Psalmist states that the Lord indeed does dwell in Zion. The Lord entrusted Haggai to be the prophet in this time as Zerubbabel was in charge of rebuilding the temple which is the Holy place where people can worship and see the Lord’s presence. The Lord chose Zerubbabel and made him like a signet ring. Signet rings were so important in that day. I remember seeing King Hezekiah’s signet ring in Jerusalem. It marked who they were and which authority they were given to rule. The Lord gav...

Seek First The Kingdom

Zephaniah 2:3 Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do his just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the anger of the Lord.  Do I seek the Lord in all that I do in humility and seek righteousness? The Lord has put this verse on my heart this whole week in many ways. Matthew 6:33 has been brought up multiple times, songs have been played, and people have brought it up to me in a way that the Lord is trying to grab my attention. The Lord wants me to seek Him in all that I do and is constantly reminding me this week. It is clear to me that I am needing to do this because of the place that I am in this season. The Lord has me in a place of responsibilities and completing tasks and I am to do it for the Lord. In these completed actions I need to seek the Lord, be humble, do his commands, and seek righteousness. And then all these things will be added unto me. What are all these things? Promises of that the Lord has given to...

Faithful Till The End

Hab 2:3-4 For still the vision awaits its appointed time;  it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it;  it will surely come; it will not delay. “Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.  As I stumbled upon this verse the other day driving to California from Montana I had great thankfulness in my heart. I honestly get chocked up thinking about where the Lord has taken me in the last year. The Lord gave me a vision over two years ago after surrendering my life to Him. I was standing on a beach in Mexico and the Lord spoke to me to give a year to him and go to Bible College. This year was going to be used for ministry. That day I would never have thought that I would be now traveling to California again but equipped for ministry. The Lord has given me yet another year committed to Him. I waited for that appointed time and now the Lord’s promises are being fulfilled. I could not h...

Micah 6:8

Micah 6:8   He has told you, O man, what is good;  and what does the Lord require of you   But to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?  The beginning of Chapter 6 the Lord is asking Judah basically what’s up. In verse 4 the Lord shows that he has brought, redeemed, and sent. This reminds me of Nehemiah 9 when the children of Israel are praising the Lord for all that He has done and brought them out of. When we're stuck in something and look back to our stones of remembrance of what the Lord has done do we keep moving forward or do we continue in the routine of being cynical as the Children of Israel? In verse 8, the Lord is asking us to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with the Lord. This also reminds me of the Pharisees in Matthew 23:23. It states, “ 23  “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and me...

Jonah 2: 1-9

Jonah 2: 1-9 In this prayer Jonah is thanking God for delivering him from drowning. Jonah is praising the Lord for his mercies. When we are rescued from the Lord how often do we complain about the whole process before hand instead of first having thanksgiving. This was a trial for Jonah. This trial came after the fact that he was reluctant to the calling the Lord had for him. He wanted to change the way of his life by not going to Nineveh but the Lord was sovereign and did not change His plans. So often I don’t see the end goal so I doubt or complain. God tells me to do something and I refuse. I say no and great things could have happened. If Jonah never would have gone to Nineveh then all of those people would not have gotten saved. So often in disobedience I miss out on the blessing the Lord would have had for me. Because of the evilness of my heart and flesh I want my own way. But I am dead. I have given my life to the Lord and have no rights. My hope is in the Lord and I need...

Song of Solomon 7:10

Song of Solomon 7:10 - I am my beloved’s, and his desire is for me.  To be loved and desired is every girls dream. I always grew up wanting to be loved having not been shown much love growing up. This was a thing I dwelled on which took me down the path of insecurities and anxieties which grew to an addiction to porn at a young age. This sin bound me for a long time until I surrendered my life to Christ. At this point I understood that the Lord desired me and if I was the only one on earth he still would have died for me. There can be a presupposition before reading Song of Solomon that its made only for married couples or something of that sort. But it’s in the Bible so I read it when I get to it. Reading through Song of Solomon has given me an even bigger desire for marriage that I know God has promised me. But I also understand to not stir up or awaken love until the appointed time. God’s timing is perfect. God knows that I am not ready for marriage right now being in a mis...
